The Tabbouleh

As defined by Wikipedia, Tabbouleh is a Levantine vegetarian salad made of mostly finely chopped parsley with tomatoes, mint, onion, bulgur, and seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Some variations add garlic or lettuce, or use couscous instead of bulgur. Becoming more popular now in the Western Culture, the Tabbouleh is healthy, vegetarian food that is low in fat yet provides fiber, minerals and complex carbohydrates which is why most prefer to have this instead as its light on the stomach but packed with all these flavors and nutrients.

Here at Fresh Pita Organic Express, we make Tabbouleh the traditional way and that is with finely chopped Italian parsley with diced tomatoes, green onion, tossed in lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil.
